Why the SHIELD Program at 果冻影院?
The 果冻影院鈥檚 SHIELD (Service, Honor, Integrity, Education, and Leadership Development) Program offers a Bachelors of Criminal Justice or Bachelors of Homeland Security asynchronously online.
This online program is designed for practitioners in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security, along with veterans and first responders. Applicants desiring to enter this program need to provide documentation from a supervising official from their agency certifying their status.
Students admitted into the program can take a portfolio course if they wish to explore experiential credit.

Experiential Credit Process
Portfolio review class summer before entry into classes. Students will provide their resume, work history and experience, relevant certifications, schools, and any other relevant documentation, along with classes targeted. Students will need to connect their experiences with the learning outcomes listed in the courses.
After completion of the portfolio, materials will be reviewed by the faculty. After review, students with requisite experience will be selected for interviews. Once interviews are complete, faculty will determine which students to recommend for credit, which need additional assessments, and which do not qualify.
Assessments will vary by course, with options including comprehensive examinations, papers, or hands-on practical exams.
Military Credit Assessment
Students with military service can submit Joint Service Transcripts for review for credit. Faculty will review the transcript and use guidelines from ACE and THEC for recommending credit.
The SHIELD program will utilize the asynchronous Interdisciplinary General Education track for students that need those courses.
